Hi,

I thought it was about time I got my own bit of the internet, so I have now got my own website to display and work I have made. A lot of people have got their own sites so thought it was about time I joined them lol.

My site is at www.vuelocity.com

However I also have for download a Material Preview Probe, basically it’s for people who make materials or want to see what a particular type of material looks like on an object, it works for the majority of materials but not all of them.

It is available for download from my site, there are a couple of renders below of what it is :)

There are more renders on the site and I will be adding more as they are rendered, most are the standard materials from Vue.

Enjoy
Jon

Hehe thanks Bruno, it was fun to make the probe and to add the materials to it to see the different effects. As I mentioned most are just the standard Vue materials, I have a couple of my own which I will add and render soon :)

Nice website.
I see that you used Joomla. You should try the Artio SEF plugin to rewrite URLs.

Otherwise, your scene is indeed very handy to display materials. The use of transparency over another material is a very good idea.

Hi,

Thank you :) Yes it is a Joomla powered site, I will try the URL rewrite, I had read about some incompatibilities with some addons so have not really tried it yet. Will give it a go when site traffic is less and see of it works, thanks for the tip :)

Glad you liked the probe :)

I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft

Just an update, later today will put the material names in the description of the Material Probes so you know what material it is, and if its a material not included with Vue, will link to site where you can get it.

Hi,

Replaced the gallery with new software, and updated where I could(or could remember) the material that was used.

Also when viewing images, clicking on the image brings up the full resolution version, try it on one of the Material Probes or my images :)

Hi,

I have just uploaded to the site Version 2 of the material preview probe, changes include different lighting, nice new Vue logo and a smaller file size.

Enjoy :)

Hi,

Website taken offline due to hackers.

I guess I needed to update it anyway, will remake new one soon.
