Hi all!

Just out of curiosity, is there any character with face and body shaders sharing one single map? To clarify, both materials require only one single map, i mean one  jpg with the face and body in it...?

Thx!

Posette comes to mind and I think V2 (been so long since i had looked at a map for her).

The Poser 4 figures called Posette and Dork usually. It would not be to hard to put the textures for Millenium 2 or 3 figures on one map using the free UVmapper Classic utility.

AprilYSH has a remapped Vicky 2 that can use Posette textures, so she has body and head materials on a single map, too.

Oh God! I forgot about Posette! You're all right!

Posette always at hand :D

Momodot, could you explain briefly how you'd do it with Uvmapper? I was thinking about it, but never been too good with UVs...

Thanks guys.

IN UVMapper, all you would have to do is select by Material and resize and move all the materials to fit on the map instead of being on top of each other. Then save out the new .obj and uv template map to work on.

You would have to create new textures for the figure or use a paint program and match the old textures to fit the new uv map.

A while back I was remapping Mil 3 characters so that the skin textures were on one map (for physical SSS) but I kept the transmaps separate

The way I have done it in UVmapper Classic is to select on the body map elements as a group and size the marquee down to 50% and place it to the bottom of the map and then do the same for the head elements moving them to the top of the map... then saving the model and the template. If you do it right then you can make the new one-piece texture by just doubling the height of the head texture canvas and pasting the body texture below it and saving this combined texture. You can check your placement by loading UVmapper with the combined texture as a background to the UVmapper wireframe display.
