Curious as to what people are doing to create realistic eyes in Vue from a poser model. Since eyes are the window to the soul, the eyes can make or break the image. Like to see what techniques are out there.

Well for me I tend to put an alpha reflection into cornea material, simple black and white does nicely(; I found great flexibility lately putting the Poser texture folder into my collections and just doing it from there..no use to open posesr for rework anymore(; this came to me while working on eyes in fact(; Also, if you can get a good material for the eye white that has an even amount of veins and bloodshot it is nice to ad realism as well, and depending on your lighting scheme,a bit of luminosity is sometimes necessary(; you can see some totally done in Vue eyes in my most recent upload in fact to give you an idea..these are a bit extreme, but it was for the character...but maybe you get the idea(; Eyes actually got me into this love affair with creating digital illustrations so good luck on your endeavor:D

For stills use a photograph of an eye....

if your serious about eyes......might want to get the book

the pros use:
basically it is a SSS shader for the inner eye with a color map ....and then its covered in a transparant sphere with a kick butt reflection map on it.....(its actually 2 separate peices of geo....just like in real life)
