Once
in a while I look around,
I see
a sound
and
try to write it down
Sometimes
they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

Now that sounds exciting - as ironic as it may seem to some, I think the first video tutorial should be about how to make video tutorials ! !

bikermouse...you are too right...we're likely to get a lot of very hard to follow stuff by folks who've never heard of storyboarding first...LOL....along with a lot of really first rate stuff like I've seen lately, as I regularily tour and approve new tutes.. ...

Bobby,
storyboarding ? No - I don't mean that; of course its fundimental but ... I was talking in the simpler sense - the actual making a video tutorial a video tutorial and not just screenshots of how to do it - you know, the basics.

Oh but you are so right, storyboarding a tut first would be an excellent improvement on a lot of the dross that's around.
(Although I'm not sure how Rendo having video tuts will enable those of us who do not have the software to make a video tut - suddenly able to make one.)
Interesting that you say you've found a lot of good ones around as I've only found one person to be really good at making video tuts and that's 3DKiwi and his Cinema4D tuts.
He zooms into the screen so you can really see where he's clicking and on what, he uses a highlighter to draw attention to something, and he goes slowly enough for anyone to follow it. As well as speaking slowly and clearly - without, amazingly, boring the pants off you.
I have found no other video tuts, anywhere, that even approach his class.
So if you do know of some Bobby, I'd really appreciate a pointer to them...
I'd like to try making some if the Rendo site gives us that ability, but I doubt it would be possible to get anywhere near 3DKiwi's - unless the Rendo vids have the right facilities... do you know what will be possible?
