I'm trying to do an alien figure in poser I've got a basic skin texture but I want to give it a wet look in poser. Rather than customising the texture in photoshop is there any way I could use the shader tree in poser to create this sort of look. I currently just modelling it at the moment.
I know there's the v4 wet skin shaders by skinvue but I don't really want to buy that just to see how the shading is done as I don't really need it for v4.
It would be good if I could change the look using spectular lighting and thus get different effects. Also any ideas how to get a more slime like apperance as well for possible offspring?

Basically, the wet look is driven by the specular settings. The specular and specular colour settings control how much shine is shown; the specular nodes (glossy, anisotropic, and so on) control how the specular shine is calculated, and therefore it's final appearance on the model; and if you want a droplet feel to the wet look, then using one of the nodes such as spots or similar will break up the uniformity of the shine.
I'm loathe to give specifics, since every character and circumstance is diferent - there's no hard and fast rule as to what are the 'right' settings'. But those are the nodes you should play around with until you get the look you're wanting.

Well I suppose you could, using a mask, but the way i'm doing it causes it to appear only if the surface is facing the light at the right angles. The shader is putting them on all the skin, but it appears to be strongest only in certain directions.
