Hi - I am using Poser 7  When I try to import the OBJ prop from within Poser, the import progress bar progress to nearly 100% and then Poser simply blinks off.   I have tried a variety of OBJ models from different sources and the same thing happens on all of them.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks, Jim Gallagher

If you have saved a backup copy of the innards of Poser, try copying
the file FFOBJ.ARP from the backup.   (This is the component that does
the actual work of importing OBJ files.)

If that doesn't work, you'll most likely have to re-install the whole thing.

OK, I will look into that.  I have Poser installed on another machine to copy the file from.  I also just discovered Poser crashing on Export of a prop to an OBJ.  Do you think that is related?

Edited to say: I did what you said and it worked - both import and export seem to be working - at least no more crashing.  That really did the trick.  Thanks for you help!

Yay!   It's always nice when the simple solution works.  Reinstalling is a pain.

PS: when those internal files start going bad, it often indicates
something else is wrong.... maybe a virus or something similar.
