This post is more for the benefit of newcomers to the Poser scene.
Depending on which source you download from, you may find sub-folders under the Pose folder named P4, P5 and/or PP.
Until Poser Pro came on the seen, the convention for the PP abbreviation means ProPack version of Poser.

Going forward, this may no longer be the case, and PP could in future be used by content creators to mean Poser Pro ( the operative word being "could"). Best to check if in doubt.
On a similar note, I have come across abbreviations M2 meaning Miki2 (the Smith Micro Graphics figure) in some instances, and Micheal2 ( the DAZ3D figure) in others.

I never know which to use, the P5 MATS, or the PP

If you have any version beyond PP (ProPack), then use the latest numbered version.
