Hi Folks,
I've created a flat, plane mesh with just 4 bones. I want to limit/remove the ability of the IK to curve (bend) except for 1 axis (similar to a finger). Is this something that can be done with PHI?
cheeers,
George

Hi Curious,
Why not just use "Lock actor" on the "Object" menu?
Select the body part (bone) that you don't want to move and "Lock" it.
Oops, sorry ... changed my mind (it was getting dirty anyway) ... try using limits and then set the min and max to the same value. This will prevent a bone from moving in one (or more) axis.

Won't work, dear Geep. Poser IK ignores limits (arghhh!). There is nothing to be done here as far as I know.
C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the
foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg
off.

Nahehehehehay! (okay, sorry for the sorry horse joke)
Ignoring the IK requirement, yes, limit the rotation channels as Dr. Geep notes. :)

Well I've boned it and imposed the limits,...it works exactly as you recommend Dr. Geep.
Gratitudes to you and Kuro.
Peace,
George
