I'm completely new to Vue and it's driving me crazy. I purchased Vue Esprite and the Ecosystem module on the e-on software site. It downloaded quickly installed well but is giving me more than just a headache.
I'm going through some of the learning stuff and so I created a canyon terrain. I then modified it to be similar to some of the canyons in the American south west. I then decided to add a plant. In this case a cactus. When I douible click the cactus it tells me I need to register my software in order to buy from the Cornucopia store. I just want it to load what should be an included plant type.
I've tried to register my copy of Esprite. It won't let me. It tells me that it's already registered but if I go to their store it tells me all that's registered is the ecosystem module.
First off isn't it supposed to grow the plant if it's selected from the Vue plant menu? Anything I can see in the documentation says the plant types listed should be usable and it should grow each one when I add it so that every plant even though the same species and plant type is different.
Is there a second module that I need before I can add anything other than a palm tree and if so why does it show all the different types of plants?.
Secondly why won't it let me register my copy of Esprite?

Not all you see you have installed (plants, objects, etc). In your plant selection screen (and object, and others) there's a little ghost icon. Click on it and you will no longer see the icons of what you do not have installed.
As to the registration process, I can not help you there. I suggest you get in contact with e-on.

By the way, even with the ghost icon deactivated (i.e, when you see everything) you can distinguish those items you do own of those you have to buy. The ones you do not own have an e-on icon on them, when you click on them.

Thank you for your reply. I still have no idea why it was doing that but it stopped without ever giving me an explanation. It had been sending me off to register my copy and go to the store when in fact the cactus I wanted to add WAS and still is available.
I still have no idea why the e-on software registration page seems to think that my Esprite is registered but the program itself and the store don't. Possibly some weirdness brought on by Vista. There's a lot of that.

The store (Cornucopia3D) is not the same as the e-on site. Those are separate entities, although they work hand in hand. It was a long time ago I did it, but as far as I remember, before you do your first purchase in the store, you have to register in the store itself. The store can retrieve your registration information from e-on site but you have to tell it explicitely. So, yes, there is a separate registration process in the store, sort of.
