I need to clean my equipment and was wondering if you guys have any tips on what products to use and what not.

Like I said, my things I still keep in its original bubble wrap LOL.  So I am very careful as to what I have to use to clean it.

Any suggestions will be welcome :)

The only thing I use is an air blower on the sensor and soft cloths on the lenses. If anything else needs doing it's goes to an authorized Canon service centre.

What camera gear do you have?

I have a Canon EOS 400D.  I will go and by me a real leather shammy today and keep that in my bag to wipe the lenses.

Unfortunately I live far away from the city, so I will only be able to get the air blower once I go to the city.

Thanks for the tip Fred.

I wouldn't use a leather shammy from any animal as it may contain natural animal oils.  Buy a few microfibre cloths instead...the kind used for cleaning eyeglasses, but make certain they are true microfiber.  They are available for purchase from many outlets on the Internet as well as nearly every camera shop, as are Rocket Blasters (to blow off your sensor), available from Amazon or other.  Also, consider a lens pen for cleaning your lenses.

Wow, okay.  The nearest shop is about 150km away.  What I can try is to go to a place where they make eyeglasses.  I am sure they will have some for me to buy.

The rocket blaster will need to wait for now, until I get into the city again.  It is difficult to be so far away from shops.

Thanks a million for your advice. :)

The internet and postal service is your friend 😉 Plus you generally get things cheaper online anyway...
