Dumb question after the years I've been doing this. I made a prop and set it to parent to a body part, which I've done many times. It did parent no problem. I then went to add it as a prop to prop files but whne i load the prop it no longer parents. I saw a few tuts on smart props but in Poser 7 I don't see the flyout screen asking me if I wish to make it a smart prop... help!!!
Thanks!

The usual problem is the "Subset" button that appears first when saving a prop.
If you're going to make it a smart prop, don't hit the Subset button.

Do you mind if I check my understanding of something here, please?

A "smart prop" means a prop that automatically parents to a certain actor (if available) on the selected figure when loaded from the library... is this correct?

Hi there,
That's exactly correct.
Cheers!

Wish I'd known that a few weeks ago. Would have saved me hours of torture . . .  .
