Hello everyone. I posted this at the DAZ site but didn't get much response. The one response I did get was not helpful so I'll try here:
I am having a problem with the textures for the Sanganien a Luvae ar' Mire' (High Fantasy props pack) not rendering properly in D/S 2.0. The knife and sword come out stark white.
Does anyone know if this is related to the point made in the readme file about people who use Poser 4 needing to convert the PNG files to JPGs?
If so, can I simply open the PNGs in Adobe and save them as JPGs and then change the texture somehow through the "surfaces" tab?
Thanks in advance for your help.
PS: I found some JPGs in the HFP/3DUniverse folder and tried applying them to no availe. Perhaps I do not know the proper way to apply them to the props.

I have had that happen also Try this
Go to Tools select surface selection.
Open the Surface tab now select the
part of the Sword.that is turning white.
go down the list in surface tab and adjust the Glossiness
of that surface to the 100% all the way to the right
the 100% should turn gray. Also check the next line down
Color if it is white change it to black, now back in tools
select spot render and use your mouse push the left
button and drag over sword, It will do a quickie render
to see if that solved your problem. you can make fine
adjustments now even change the texture.
do the same with the Knife.
That should do it

Settings look good change your background color to black
it might be a little easer to see what you are doing.
Now if you play with the Reflections part
of course it depends on how close you are.

LOL.
Funny, I changed the back ground color once a while back before updating but could not remember how and it was driving me crazy.
Thanks Lighthorse.

Thought of a hell of a scene for your sword
Sword sticking in chest (camera in eye) of
person looking down at sword in his chest blood grousome
look on face reflecting off of the blade of the sword.
