Subject: Can't visually select parts

WarKirby ( ) posted Mon, 30 June 2008 at 12:31 PM · edited Wed, 07 August 2024 at 10:09 PM

I seem to have messed something up, though I'm not sure what. I now find myself unable to visually select body parts of my figure by clicking them. No matter where I move the mouse, the cursor is always the + shaped 4 way arrow, and I can only move the currently selected part with it. clicking other body parts does nothing.

I can still select parts with right click > Select > partname or through the keyframe editor, but this is really annoying and inconvenient. I generally prefer to  select things directly.

Can anyone suggest what I might have inadvertently done to cause this ?

A little more detail please?

What version of Poser & what figures are you working with?

Holding the shift key prevents the focus moving . you haven't got a stuck key have you?

I'm using poser 7, and it was working fine earlier today. I don't know what I did to make it  start doing this, but restarting poser doesn't fix it, nor does opening a different scene.

And the shift key definitely isn't stuck.

Alright, nevermind. I've fixed it now......... by replacing my mouse batteries

Ah. of course! I had a similar problem with a wireless keyboard. Part the reason I went back to a wired version of both.
