Come on Guys and Girls this is not difficult, candles and ice cubes will do!

My attempt using a broken light bulb for the fire.  The smoke is a composite of three sequencial images after the filament burned.  I used lighten blending layers for the smoke and some hue and saturation adjustments for the fire.

Just last night I asked my son (who lives downstairs) if I could put something in his freezer as mine was full.

After seeing this, I opted to rearrange mine and just make room. I'm sure I'd never find it again if I put it in his!!!!!

But I have to say, it sure made taking a photo for the "ice" part of this forum easy   : )

..... Now I just have to convince him a hot hair dryer will do wonders for his poor freezer.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...

So where do they go when a photograph leaves you speechless?

Fire: This was taken at an airshow and shows a simulated bombing run. This was from the second pass, which explains why the sky is already filled with so much smoke. I missed the first, and got lucky timing the second.

Ice: This is for everyone who thinks that it is always sunny in California. I live in the foothills of the Sierra's and am normally 20 miles down from the snowline. Every few years, I get a day that turns out like this.

I'll admit straight up this wasn't shot for the challenge, but it is a shot from the past couple of months or so... have been a bit involved with other projects to get really creative on this but thought seeing as there seem to have been very few posts this month that I'd add an image or two... hows about these for glasses? your drink's sure to be cold but maybe wearing a glove is recommended while doing so!

Thanks.  We have ready a new challenge for next month.  We really hope to get more involvement.  I don't know why people did not participate in this challenge, it was not a difficult one

..and another from the same place in Norway.. a guy was in the foyer creating all these with a chainsaw, what an interesting talent to have!

nothing interesting for fire - just some humdrum stuff of candles and fireplaces from my archives so i won't bore you with those..
