i know i can just make a mario by dressing any Poser character with similiar clothes. But that doesn't make him look like mario.
I also want all the other characters
-Princess
-Luigi
-Toad
-Enemies
-pipes ( well i could make pipes by myself)
-Etc etc
I think one time i asked about this and someone told me nobody is making mario characters cause of licensing issues.
Anyone know what i can do to make or get mario characters( Poseable).

Most likely you'll have to make them in a 3d modeling prog like Z-brush or something. But if you find them, let me know, I'm very interested as well.

Attached Link: Another stupid question: Is there an easy way to copy a face in posette?
Click on the link and read just how I grappled THAT very problem. DPHMiss Nancy posted Tue, 01 July 2008 at 2:02 PM
teb, said characters may be available from whatever website is licenced to sell 'em,
but beware of any warez sites offering models ripped or extracted from games. one
such site was recently posted in (and deleted from) freestuff forum here, hence they
may take a dim view of this. the experts in copyright forum here may be better able to
advise ya on the copyright and trademark issues involved in this. I ain't a lawyer.

You won't find such characters for downloading, they are copyrighted, unless you can find look a likes somewhere, but, doubtful.
ProPack cartoon figures might be your best bet. You can dress one to look like Mario if you have them. That will be the closest thing to Mario, I think you'll find.

F*$k it, its fan art. So its all good man. As long as you give credit where credits do, I don't see a problem with it. People do fan art every day, as long as you are not making money off of it. I'm about to do a fan art series of video games myself. Thats why I was interested in this forum

Mario is 100 percent copyrighted you wouldn't be able to
commercially publish the renders, don't care what you call it fan art or not.
alltheoriginalnames posted Wed, 02 July 2008 at 4:09 PM
You can make it, post it, do whatever. You just can't make any money off of it is all, but you can post the renders all you want as long as your not makings a profit and giving credit.

There is a free Mario over at Turbosquid.
Import it to Poser, create groups with the grouping tool and then add a simple rig in the setup room.

jeez! they got several pages of nintendo characters - $50, $5, name yer price.
and of course the 'squid would never knowingly violate anybody's IP rights.
so that means that they must have permission from nintendo to sell 'em.
