Why can't Vue seem to remember which folder a picture comes from? It always wants me to refind it, and that can be difficult when you have nearly a hundred folders of pictures, many of which have similar names....any thoughts?

When you save the material check 'incorporate texture maps' and 'compress file'....

Yup, Monsoon answered it completely correct. Vue does remember, you just gotta tell it to.

I generally keep all the relevant textures in the same directory where my working .VUE file is, and I don't have that trouble anymore. I have found that saving files with textures can make for some really big file sizes (over 1GB!). If using Poser in Vue, use their (poser) python script to pull everything in that scene into the same directory. Really helps!

Indeed images can swell your file sizes. So it's prudent to optimize them just like we do for images in the galleries or forum before you use them. Photoshop's 'save for web' does a great job without much noticable depreciation...
