You might be earning a little extra money....

Maybe Rendo should be talking to Getty....lots of good photos in the database here....

Have in mind that alot of the photo's on Flickr are stolen. I wonder how much someone can actually make from that...

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

According to Getty;
Getty charges an average of $500 to $600 per rights managed image...of which the photographer gets 30 to 40%.....so...the photographer could net around $150 to $240 per image.

As for your comment that you suspect many Flickr photos are stolen...well this new partnership with Getty makes it even more important to protect your works.  It would be a shame if someone ripped your image from here...then posted it on Flickr and subsequently sold it to Getty for $200.....

I see the new Getty partnership as being both good...and bad....
Good, from the standpoint that it will now open up opportunities for photographers who could not previously meet Getty's submission criteria.
Bad, from the standpoint of possibly having your ripped images being sold to Getty....and also bad from the standpoint of the new "orphan" copyright legislation.  I suspect it may be difficult to prove copyright of many of the Flickr images...so...Getty will benefit....
