Hello
I'm having trouble creating a group of polygons and successfully getting the group name to show up in the body parts hiearchy.
....my purpose is to then apply a magnet to this group.
I go to the grouping menu, name the new group, choose the polygons, and I am not sure how to "save" this group or whatever. When I create a magnet, and go to choose the body part that should be affected, the group that i created is not in the hiearchy ( i checked all the way to the bottom of list)
What I have noticed is that i can click in the grouping menu to create a PROP from the selected group of polygons, and this DOES put the group in the body parts hiearchy list, but a prop is not really what I want, as I mentioned, my goal is to use a magnet on the body part and a prop simply pulls away from the original body part.
in the words of John Lennon-
" Won't you PLEASE, please help me?"

Brilliant, mate!
although I have learned much from your very same tutorial in the past...
what I was missing, in this case, was the fact that GROUPED POLYGONS are the target of magnet ZONE settings, and not the target of the MAGNET settings
as you point out in item 7.
With the body part selected use the Poser menu ObjectCreate Magnet to load a magnet into the scene.
Select the Magnet Zone and go to its properties panel.
Select the "Group" option
Thanks - problem solved!
