Hey folks, whats new and whats shakin =)
I wanted to take Don from Poser 5 and use his left forarm and hand as a standalone figure, so I just work w/ those parts... I know to turn off invisibility for the other parts, but how would I get just the forarm as a figure, centered, and standing straight up so I can pose and manipulate those parts as a figure...
Usually for my imagery I just pose the Low Res Poser 4 male and cut off what I dont need, but I want the forarm as a seperate, individual figure this time and dont recall how best to go about it.
Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated =D

You could export just the forearm, hand (and fingers) as an object file, delete Don, and then import
the object file back in and take it to the setup room and re-bone it, using Don's bones.
Then just delete all the bones you don't need, such as those for the head, thighs, feet.

What I might do is to raise the figures arm staight up in the air, position hand, rotate figure for correct view of forearm, then position the figure so that the forearm is centered where you want it, then turn invisable any parts you don't want through the hierarchy editor.
Hope that helps.

Now download the cr2 file attached above, and place it in any character folder. You will have drop the ".TXT" part of the file extension. Test it, if it does not work, make sure the name of the obj file and the folder it is in match exactly what I have used above.
To make the cr2, I deleted everything from the Don cr2 that did not relate to the left arm or BODY. Then set the parent of lForeArm to be BODY, and changed the addChild statement in the 'figure' section for the lForeArm to:
addChild lForeArm:1
BODY:1

I added a new invisible dummy actor as a parent for the lForeArm, then just moved that till I got it centered.

Just to note, I do know that there is a hand figure, but it lacks the forearm, and thats what I really need/wanted it to have... Also, in using Dons hands, I have better texture options...
Still, thanks for the help =B
