Hello all,

I want to purchase either photoshop CS2 or CS3 and was wondering if there are any issues with these two programs and the wacom tablets? I have a wacom Bamboo tablet and I use PSP10 at the moment but would really like to move on to Photoshop.

Thanks!

What you have to check for is whether your version of Bamboo is compatible with CS2 and CS3.  I did a quick check but couldn't find the info.  You may have more time to check Adobe and Wacom for this information.

Perhaps someone here has the same products and can answer your question.   Best wishes.

My Wacom Grapphires and Intous tablets ran on both (CS2 and CS3 when I upgraded) without a problem.

And don't feel you have to decide between CS2 and CS3 - you can only buy CS3 (as CS2 isn't available anymore). However, there are TWO VERSIONS of CS3 - Standard and Extended. Standard is about $600, and Extended is about $1,000.

good luck - hope this helps-

There are copies, factory sealed copies, of CS2 available on ebay one just has to make sure they buy from a seller with a good feedback.

as PaganArtist stated "you want to make sure to buy from a seller with good feedback..."

this is very critical (more now than ever before) with Adobes "activation" process, cause if the apps already been registered, you need to track down the original owner and get the license transfered...

This is why I am only looking for brand new, never opened, factory sealed copies. Used copies of photoshop are risky and you have to make sure the seller files a software transfer document to send to Adobe in order for you to ever register the software again.
