You have a real modeling eye for these intricate details... If you like I can run it thru 6.1 and see how it goes... maybe into Daz Studio as well...

Thank you man. I sent you a sitemail with the link. I have to make sure it works ok in Bryce with the trouble I had with it. Its fairly complex in details. Close to 500 object now :)

Damn thats a sweet tank!!! You got talent!!!
I've got systems with a range of 512MB to 3GB of RAM with Single and Dual Coresthat I can test on if that is what you're after.

Excellent modeling!
You're going to post this as a .3ds file?
If so might want to add a blip that Mac Bryce 6.1 doesn't import .3ds files at all. For Mac users the best way to go is to import it into 5.5 and save the scene file or export as an .OBP format. Both load into Mac 6.1 (at least they do for me!).
tom271 posted Thu, 31 July 2008 at 12:59 PM
It works in Studio.. I did not furnish a render but it handles just fine in Studio.. I'll try Poser if you like....

Sound great Tom. Poser? Do anyone use that little known proggy? Hehehe. I'm funny :)
Well Dan, I was thinking about making it as obj file. The 3ds is 13mb big. The obj was 68mb big. So it stayed as a thought :)

Yeah, the size difference between a binary and a text file is immense!

Image 1 : single GI dome, plain enviroment.
Image 2: IBL, 1 GI dome, Plain using Agentsmiths Granite texture for that Cammo look.
Image 3: 2 GI domes, No IBL, Reflective floor mat.
Fantastic Model, A tiny bit heavy with parts because Bryce turned the 3DS obj to boxes. Easy enough to move around in the scene. A charm to render in a simple enviroment, and as expected: more time consuming in a detailed backdrop.
Outstanding work Thor.

Exellent renders as well. And as said before, its close to 500 objects. I went overboard on the details on most of my latest models. Couldent help myself

Stupendous ! ! I'm still trying to figure out how to mount a turret like yours atop my Subaru to keep the bad drivers here in Fresno at bay . . . I imagine it'd reduce the gas mileage a bit though to say nothing of flattening the tires.

originalmoron, if no ones tested it in bryce 5.5 i can give it a try for you...got time on my hands at the moment.
And yes like others have stated this is one fine model, don't see many nice looking tanks around....infact the ones i have seen are hmmm boring to look at
I have opinions of my own -- strong
opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

I can test it in bryce 5.01 and Cinema 4D

Thanks for your interest guys. My main interest was to check Bryce, cos the importers there are a bit .... shady compared to, say Carrara, but it looks like the model imports ok now. So I will realese it to the public very soon.
