Subject: Rendering JUST an object

I'm very new to Vue and am absolutely loving the package.  I am, however, trying to figure out how to render an isolated object without rendering the atmosphere.  The problem is I need to put a simple geometric shape, like a sphere, in a certain spot and render JUST that with the camera move.  This will allow me to track it in post and composite a green screen actor off in the distance.  I make the shape and select it to only render selected object, it does just that... but it also renders the atmosphere, thus devastating the render time.  Playing around with the multiple passes, such as Object ID, will also render the entire scene.

So the main priority is render time... I know I can render out a mask pass, but I just don't want to have to deal with waiting a day for a simple tracker mark.

Thanks!
