So I've embarked on this project to showcase as many of the female figures that have come and gone in the 10+ years of Poser. I posed a WIP of the scene earlier this week.

www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php

So far, I've added the following to the final scene:
P1 Woman
P2 Woman
Posette
Judy
Jessica
Sydney
Victoria 1
Victoria 2
Victoria 3
Victoria 4.x
Victoria 4.2
Stephanie
Stephanie Petite
Akio
Akio 4
Sara 1
Sara 2
Project Human Female
Eve

Still need:
Miki 1
Miki 2

If there is anyone i'm missing, please tell me! thanks!

I think PhilC has a couple of female figures too.  Gladys and Kiss I think.

And don't forget the Millennium Girls and Laura and The Girl.

You obviously haven't been to a nude beach...or my home where clothing is optional 😉  Although most people I know seem to be prudes and don't take advantage of my clothing optional rule, so that means I can't either when they are here,

I once saw a very lovely morph of the Poser 2 Business Woman and I am curious... has anyone ever morphed the Poser 2 Nude woman into a nice body shape and face? Myself I once made a decent Poser 2 Nude Woman with FBMs, facial morphs, and facial expressions with a simple mapped cylinder for teeth etc. but lost it to a disc crash way back in 1999 I think. Seeing this thread I got to wondering if anyone else ever made that old P2 Nude look fine and can show/share :)

Acadia posted Thu, 04 September 2008 at 11:37 AM

Wasn't there a new figure called "Renda" or something? She didn't last very long. In and out of the MP in a couple of days I think. But some did buy her.

momodot posted Thu, 04 September 2008 at 12:21 PM

Did anyone mention Stephanie MAX which was freebie major re-work of Steph 1?

There was the clothed Heavy Woman from DAZ circa 1999 I think. They also had a Nude Young Woman or something like that and those Fairy figures and the P4 Mermaid.

There was the Lilin from Sixus1.

There is Satako which I don't think I saw above. I think it is still in the RMP.

Finally... there was a figure called Cindy and Jim Burton had that Lo-Res figure that was encoded to Vicky because of the JPs but was an original mesh I believe.

Yuka was a head for the Eve body I think.

The Handspan Studio character for the VinaD figure was essentally a new character as  it was a real make over. Katia I think it was. Derina, and Dina Zoftig were essentially different figures although derivite fromm the DinaV.

There are some hybrids that might count as figures such as Stahlrattt's Aiko3TheGIRL.

momodot posted Thu, 04 September 2008 at 12:27 PM

There was Azura the hi-res Eve/Posette by Traveler which I REALLY wish I had downloaded on my old 300baud modem!! Seems the MorphWorld 2 disc is no longer available :(

Not to mention the absolutely adorable Elle by neftis.

Cybertosh posted Thu, 04 September 2008 at 5:22 PM

So I've run into my first problem. I've got so many figures, much of which have large image maps. Raytracing has caused Poser to crash every time. So now I've set the lighting to one infinite light and shadow maps will likely have to be painted in by hand. The file size is sitting at 300MB.

Cybertosh posted Thu, 04 September 2008 at 5:31 PM

Laroo and "K" I can't find. Tuyuko and Eroko were discontinued. Supermodel, Eve, Eve2, Eve3, Eve4 I can't use because OSX 10.5 won't run the OBJ Mapper.

bagginsbill posted Thu, 04 September 2008 at 5:45 PM

For a distance shot, you don't need those hi-res maps. Perhaps you should make reduced resolution versions of them, if you really want to render them all at once.

Or you could tediously render them in small groups and composite them for the final image.

By the way, do you want them to look good, or as they originally looked? I ask, because VSS should be able to make quick work of putting good shaders on them.

Here is the (laughable) "ZWoman", as loaded on the left, and with the VSS treatment on the right. She don't bend so good, her texture seams are crazy, she can't move her eyes to look up without them falling out of her head, and she can't smile. But the un-posed geometry is pretty nice. Somebody should take this into the setup room and fix it. It's a good filler woman for background characters.

The shaders on her are terrible and don't even try to use the included color map. The color map is really bad, hand-drawn and very low resolution. Nevertheless, with the VSS skin shader applied, it looks pretty good.

I don't know why people put so much effort and devote so much memory to the texture maps. A good shader is the key.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

There is always a way. Asmentioned but in different words,, you can start in back with say 5 figures, render save as tiff and import it back as a background picture. Better, attach it to a onesided square. Delete old figures,,, load new ones, render,,, save,, import.

Did this a looong time ago. Armies can be rendered this way. If you are clever,,, good DOF can be achieved also.

per someone's request, it is Victorias 4.x and 4.2. I had to invent clever ways of lowering the memory usage. I found that the nipples actually took longer to render than without.

Interesting project. I'm glad you added the hair. I wonder if adding the same skin shader wouldn't have made for a more cohesive composition or if they would have blended in too much together.
