Hi everyone - I sure hope y'all aren't sick and tired of me asking so many questions here in the forum.... don't wanna wear out my welcome here. I'll be quick, I promise!
I thought I read somewhere that textures for James are compatible with M2 - or maybe it was M3. I don't remember for sure. Is that true? Just wondering if I did indeed hear that somewhere, or if I'm just imagining things. It wouldn't be the first time!   :)

Don't worry about asking questions, it's a good thing.
I'd just apply some mat poses and see what happens to James.
If a M3 texture looks wonky, then it's not compatible, so try a M2 one.
You could also look at the maps themselves and compare them to the James texture. They should look quite different if incompatible.

As for your question, I'm not sure about James but I know for a fact that you can use M1 and M2 textures on Don, who was James's Poser 5 predecessor. Maybe that's what you read ?

Yes, mathman has it right. The P5 adults (not sure about the children) were texture compatible with the DAZ people of the time - so Don can use Mike 1/2 textures, and Judy can use Vicki 1/2 textures.

A fascinating insight into the direction in which Poser might have gone, if you think about it. ;-)
