I have four pictures of what I think is a spider.  I have tried looking a spider identification sites and nothing comes close.  Anybody seen this before?  Sorry that they are not the best images, but I could not get a good angle or focus.

Thank you for your help, Beth

number 4.

Number 3 shows the underbelly.  The point backside is pointing down towards the ground in orginal images in number 1,2, and 4.

Hi Beth,

I've been having a lil look around and found some pictures that look similar to your spider.
Google "Jewel Spider" and look at the many images. Even if this spider isn't a Jewel Spider, could belong to the same family there somewhere :)

Hope this helps.

I believe you found a female Spined Micrathena spider (a spiny-back spider). Take a look here or you can google on the name...
