Hi All,
I just reinstalled P6 & it now keeps freezing, crashing, and tweeking out on me when i use OpenGL, though it never used to.   The problems are random and differant the only consistant one is that the view ports blank out and won't refresh, or close.   anyone know what the problem might be or where there might be a trouble shooting tutorial?.   I have P6 and the update installed.

Thanks,

-Gabe-

Have you checked your video card drivers? Installing the latest ones may help.

The current NVidia driver set seems to make my Poser 7 crash as well, this started when I updated video drvers.  I just switched to SreeD, if there's a workaround for this I wouldn't mind hearing it.

What model video card, what OS?
My 8800 GTS with the latest 64 bit Nvidia drivers is totally solid... now. Vista Ultimate x64.
You could try using the Nvidia Control Panel and adding Poser to the list under advanced settings - that worked for me, but I don't have to tweak anything anymore.

And of course it's always a good idea to uninstall the old driver before installing the new one. It's a PITA, especially if you have a dual monitor setup, but it can help to avoid driver install problems. Nvidia drivers also don't like being scanned with any anti-virus during install, either.

By freezing does that mean you are getting Poser 7 (not responding) in the upper left part of the app window and the program appearently doing nothing?  I've been getting that for over a month now.  Try waiting it out for 5-10 minutes and see if something eventually happens.

I'm thinking of reinstalling, but somehow I doubt that is going to help.
