Hi,
How do I put an open grave into the ground in Vue? The deep hole is the problem even if I create a terrain and use the dig tool to make a hole when I bring it into vue and then lay it on the ground the hole disappears beneath the ground plane.
To give you an idea on what I am trying to do I am creating a scene in the desert where a guy has screwed the Vegas mob in the casinos and they take him out to the desert to dig his own grave before they whack him. After he takes a cap in the head I want to then create a scene where you see the body lying in the open grave. I am a much better conversationalist than a writer in getting my point across so I hope I described what I am trying to achieve here.
Thanks.

A) terrain or terains can be the entire ground, you know...just LOWER the ground plane below them
b) You can use negative bolleans ont he gorund plane....booelan a cube out underneath so the grave isn't obstructed ;)

Me worried about death???? As much as I've been shot at and had stuff blowing up around me in my time in the military death is moot. Beside Pagans do have Gods not just the ones people are familiar with. Death is just part of the journey as is birth so I kinda wonder what lies ahead for me after this life is done.
But I am still wondering what this has to do with setting up a scene in Vue??? LOL!

As Silverblade suggested, you can create a boolean object out of a terrain and the tomb. Once the hole is created with the boolean operation, copy the tomb, but out of the boolean object, and place the new tomb inside the hole.

Don't forget those blue pills, who knows what lies after death. One has to be prepared for the unknown....
