Did I post it at the wrong time? Or is it just not a good image? I can't believe this is my least popular image?

OK...so lets have a look.  What do we have here? I'm guessing that's a photo of a merry-go-round, a poser guy and a couple of simple objects assembled in Bryce and photoshopped the heck out of. At least that's how it looks to me, and I have been known to be wrong.

To be brutally honest, I'm not seeing Bryce skill here. I personaly don't like the blurring/motion blurr and the guy simply doesn't impress me. To gain more interest I would have highlighted the idea of looking for the skulls.

The story segment you added seems odd, even to the point of not making sense.

I do sympathise with you in that it doesn't seem to have had too many views or comments. I've been there, spend hours/days on a piece and not had very much interest and it's true that your timing could be off - especialy if there are other more interesting pieces posted at the same time as yours, but I'm afraid that's the way of things.

I hope this helps.

Tell me about it............ But..... I have to agree with TheBryster on this, and to add, it doesn't matter how long one spends on something or how good one thinks their work is, it'll always be the work you don't expect much of  that'll wow people. And thats a fact.

Thank you for your honesty. This is actually the kind of feedback I was wanting, but maybe with a little more instruction on how to improve it. But hey that is how Politicians get their jobs!

Anyway technically what I was trying to achieve this image is matching the lighting in the background photograph. I also wanted some true relections in the crystal ball Dark is holding.  I think that came out well and was done without photoshop.  The fabric was where the painting came in and I have never really been strong on that. If you saw my original post on where I was coming from and how flat the poser person looked, this is where I would like some critique.

The quote is from the Book "Something Wicked This Way Comes" by Ray Bradbury it is a good read and great this time of the year if you have not read it I recommend it. But also inspired by one of the first really dark Disney movies ever.

Dhama you are right one of my most viewed images is a render of eggs...EGGS? LOL go figure!

I have always found it diificult incorporating figures into scenery, for me, the figure always look superimposed instead of part of the scene. This is what one has to look for...

That is exactly what kind of feedback I am wanting! Did it pass that test with you?

I am not sure how this got broke up to two different posts I replied to mine at the time of posting which is really weird when this showed up the next day.

On this occasion the character doesn't sit well in the background scene. One little trick you can try when adding characters to photographed backgounds is to give the character a little opacity.. just enough that the background doesn't obviously show up. if it does slightly. you can always correct that in post.

I would re-do this image and replace the merry-go-round with a Big Top Tent instead a sort of Darkish looking Brown maybe.  You need a sinister background as the name suggest a Merry-Go-Round is too Merry!! :)

Maybe have the Main Character cast a shadow to a nearby object or maybe the tent to give it a more of the feel that is part of the image rather than a cut and paste.

Ok...The Carousel is part of the book. The characters in the book ride it backward and get younger, but pay a price more than a ticket for admission...

You should read the book or at least rent the Disney movie great creepy stuff!
