I have been reading and searching and still I can not seem to figure how to save a character I created in poser as a cr2 file?  I am using poser 7. Anyone out there who could possible explain it to me, I am a bit slow at learning this.

Thanks in advance

Nez :)

You click on the + in the bottom of the figures palette.  You are then asked to give it a name.  If your figure has clothing or props say yes when poser asks about saving the whole group.

Hope this helps!

Select a folder in the Figures section on the Library palette, and then click on the "+" button.

Be careful not to save over the top of one of the base figures.

Maybe it could be your problem.... a character must have bones! After that you can save it as a cr2 in the libraries.

Well when you save any figure to the figures library a CR2 is automatically created.
Since you are using Poser 7 look in your main hard drive:program files:efrontier:Poser7:runtime:libraries:character...
then depending on what folder after that you saved in.

Hope this helps. 😉

One more note: MAKE SURE it is the figure CONFORMED TO! I've screwed it up enough times to say that one!   One figure with a bunch of clothes and hair and stuff....make sure it is the figure all that crap is attached to that is the one selected when you press the "+" on the library palette--or otherwise you get one sweater or such saved and nothing else.

You should get a "Your figure is part of a mutli figure set up (or some such) you want all(X) or an individual (     )?"

All=All conformed to and base figure, Individual=ONE thing with bones(One clothing, or figure naked--THAT IS ALL.).

We all started somewhere. When I was a noob, I did a lot of screw ups and falling over myself instead of just asking the questions.  You got questions--ask away.  You might learn something. I pay attention to threads like this because I'm ALWAYS looking for short-cuts and new stuff, and one person probably doesn't know it all.

I know I don't.

It's too much drug use.  ALL prescription drugs, but still....it has it's effect.
