First - I've decided to step down as a Renderosity moderator. The Renderososity staff has been great but personal matters have caused the need to step down from moderator status. I hope to some day be able to return to mod duties but for now, that's not possible.

So now that I've said all that :

I wanted to show I'll still be around - just not as much - and what better way to do that then start a WIP?  Mind ya, I'll only get to work on this on my personal time, so it will be really slow going.

I assume this would be a genetic chimera rather than a mythological chimera ("a thing of immortal make, not human, lion-fronted and snake behind, a goat in the middle, and snorting out the breath of the terrible flame of bright fire" as the Iliad has it)? :) Looks fearsome, no matter what.

Best wishes for your personal circumstances. Hope you can return before too long.

Looks superb so far, look forward to watching the progress. I hope that whatever is causing your step down ends in a positive way! best of luck.

Thanks gang.  It's a Chimera from the Playstation 3 game, "Resistance" and "Resistance 2".  It's a genetic hybrid though wether it be man made or alien based isn't 100% clear (R2 suggests alien in origin).

Well, I've got to start work now.  I'll be back on the weekend probably.

Well, I had a go at the back but I'm not happy with it, so I'm going to redo it but I have actual modeling work that needs to be done first so next week I guess.

Updates.  I started a separate Torso. Talk of doing the whole figure finally got to me.  (in a good way)

I am now in the re-topology stage  in Silo before adding arms and legs for the final sculpt.  Trying something different with the chest but it's a little messy right now.

Awesome stuff.  I love the way you have done the Serratus  Best wishes.  I certainly would not be where I am without your influence.  You have been a fine teacher and role model.
