anyone know of any tutorials for creating Mat poses, or a program to create mats that will run on Windows Vista?

I think there are other scripts or programs out there which do the same thing. Check for adp001 in the Python forum or free stuff.

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking. He apologizes for this. He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.
Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below. His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

If you have Poser 7 theres a simple way of converting a material collection to a mat pose. For your own use you can just get in the habit of using material collections instead.
Check freestuff for python scripts to write mat poses.
if you have a material collection mc6 file , rename it to a pz2 , move it to the poses library and edit it in wordpad and change the line mtlcollection to figure.
