One of my short stories, *Escher*, has been shortlisted for the Aeon Award, run by the Albedo One magazine, which is a world speculative fiction award. There are 33 stories on the short list out of 600 entries, and, should I place in the top three finalists, the story may be reprinted in *Year's Best Fantasy & Horror* or *Year's Best Science Fiction* books.

I am not entirely sure when the winners will be announced, but I will update this thread if I do place in the top three.

I wish I had the courage to follow my dream but I'm too shy and have turned down a novel offer as well as the publication of one of my short stories. I draw too much of myself into my writing and the idea of it being "out there" for all to read/see makes me feel way too vulnerable and exposed.

The book is doing well, and I will be signing my first translation deal in December, so the book will be available in Polish as well, and distributed in Poland. Things are going much better than I had ever hoped.

Yeah, that's typical of my head. Lost in Space. Well I have to wait for my reissued Credit Card to get here before I can order my copy but it's on my to do list.
