Could someone point me in the right direction?
This is what I am trying to accomplish, I have an outfit I created with some mat zones for fur. This is for a "Santa like" suit I had created for Kururu. I am currently using a map but looks too flat, is there a way to "fluff" up the fur using nods in the Mat room?

BB made a Matmatic file to vreate some fur.
This pic may give you some ideas to experiment with.
Plug you Map into Blender node and have at it.
