I just found this website/forum and thought I should introduce myself since it seems like a great place to visit.
I'm new to this - so new I still haven't figured out what it means when I see a picture say its for V4 or A4 etc...
I'm retired from the Navy, and currently employed as a job seeker by the great 2008 economic downturn, but I am looking for a better job. In the mean time I have always admired the art work done by those of you who make this website so great, so I figured I would see what it's like to to try my hand at it.
I have no experience. I downloaded blender today but haven't started anything yet. I do have Photoshop and some of the other Adobe CS3 software but again I have no experience. So far the only thing I've done is a card with falling snow for Christmas.
So that's me. Thanks for letting me join.

Thanks. I'll post my "Christmas Card" for all it's worth once I figure out how to make it smaller. Right now it's about 8M which seems kinda big for a Photoshop background with some snow falling ... :)

Use .jpg compression to bring the size down. I forget what the size limit is for images, but I usually keep mine below 350kb. If you uplod a separate thumbnail that's 200x200 px max 15kb

If you do things in Photoshop and/or Paint Shop Pro, that's usually a 2D posting. I did that when I first got here. Welcome! (:
