I am just home from hospital.
To all my friends
we had today a chat with the doctors about all research they did this week by my father, he had an x-ray yesterday, and last Monday during the Broncho-scopie they took a bit tissue to check it by the Pathologists, in the first place they said to us that all was okay, so we where happy, but today we got the definitive diagnosis and we got the bad news that my dad has LUNG-CANCER, they found a tumor in his right lung, not that big yet, but CANCER....now he needs a cat scan to see if other organs are infected. So we are totally in shock, it is so hard to believe, we thought he was doing better, because his skin colour and moods where better the last few days..... but the end results leave us behind with a very heavy load and emotions
I will close my latest image I posted today...sorry for that if somebody left a comment
I am totally out of balance

Oh, Ilona, I am so sorry about this news. It is never easy to hear that kind of diagnosis. I do want to say that you should have hope.
My father went into the hospital for pneumonia and they discovered the lung cancer, too late. He was well into the disease and all they could do was make him well enough to come home, where he wanted to pass. It all happened so quick.
That was 20 years ago! Today the science of medicine has progressed so much that cancer is no longer a death sentence. I've seen miracles happen. Many people are able to extend their lives far beyond the original prognosis of years "thought" to be what little time they have left. And treatments are not as severe as back then too. I have several friends who have gone through more then a couple bouts of chemotherapy and they are doing great!
So keep your chin up and don't let the sadness get the best of you. Think positive and do some research into things that will help your father keep a good attitude too. You will both be in my prayers daily. Huge Hugs!!!
PS: Don't forget to take time for yourself too, it is very important for your sanity and your own health!

So sorry about your bad news; but don't give up hope. I work in an oncology office where people come every day for chemotherapy, and most people seem to do just fine. It's not as hard as it used to be with the right treatment. Good luck to your family, my prayers are with you!

Dearest Ilona, yes I do understand the shock of such news, like an unexpectd huge wave and we cannot be braced enough at that time. Yet, I must seek hope and know that many with that disease do well with treatment.
I wish healing and pray for your father and for a comfort in all of you during this difficult ordeal. Tom.
