Are the ambience and diffuse setting in the mat room the same for the items that are black?
Post the mat setting for the items that are black

@dyret

The effect you're getting is caused by reversed normals in the model.  Basically the normals on those black objects are facing inwards so you're rendering the back faces instead.  I can't imagine that the model would be made like this, so I'm guessing it's probably caused by bringing it in through the DAZ|Studio bridge.

Try importing the model directly into Bryce.  If that still doesn't work then there are reversed normals in the model and you will need to 'flip' them in a modeler and resave the model.

@Rayraz

What, no Bryce?
Hopefully you'll escape TheBryster without too many scars for that one!
