Can you clarify? what do you use as criteria for making it 'good' ?

What format is the text? (vector outline or raster?)
What format do you want it to be in powerpoint? (AVI animations, .... and which version or Powerpoint... it has its own custom animations too, like running a 'wave' through a string of letters. (at least in recent version of PP)

If you look at the text tool of PD Pro, and combine it with animated brush features and animations  you can find a tremendous amount of special effects in there with text glyphs. A typed text can be turned into a custom brush, even into a custom animated brush. And brushes can fly along particle paths, with gravity or image-based force fields. Lots and lots of possibilities. But are you looking for 3D effects? (perhaps Carrara could help, even entry-lvel versions Carrara 3D Basics 2 at $17 and up.
