Hello friends

I've just got my copy of Geekatplay training. But I noticed something weird that I don't have the Terrain Functions they have on their version of Vue 6 xStream (I'm using it too). Here are the screenshots; white one theirs, gray one mine. I tried to make the same with myself with function editor. The mentor lady using this functions on a procedural terrain.

Do you guys know where can I buy those ?

Thanks in advance...

Look on the extras CD that came with Vue.

I'm pretty sure those come with Vue, as I have them.

They may have been included with one of the updates, or Vue has "lost" that folder (check in Explorer just in case).

Are you using a "legal' copy of Vue? If so, then they are included in the extras CD and you should have them.

I'm pretty sure Kerem uses a legal copy of Vue, and he creates beautiful mattes with it, but I think he mentioned his copy ofVue6 xStream, and these fractal functions ship with Vue7.

They are there in my V6XS.
The datestamp suggests that they were either part of the final release or added by the one of the first updates to the final release.

The list of folders in the second screenshot corresponds to what was in the pre-release Beta, which would seem to confirm the above, at least enough to warrant a version number check.

Oh? Never saw them in Infinite...

I just dug out my extras CD, and the functions are not on it - so, they must be part of the install or maybe one of the updates has them.  I have a fresh install of Vue 6 on my new computer and they are present.

it's a legal copy of Vue 6 xStream we are using at the office. But we never ever updated it... I think perhaps they are coming with updates.

Purchasing Vue 7 soon anyways :)
