What are the best Poser 7 learning materials? The best and eastiest to understand books that teach you to learn about and use Poser 7? (I've been using Poser 7 and doing 3D Art for only about a year now). The best websites and tutorials for learning all aspects of Poser 7? I don't have too much money and if I'm going to get a Poser 7 book, I would like to get the best one. I really want to learn as much about Poser 7 as I can, so I would really appreciate any help and suggestions you guys can give me. Thank you!

Be sure to read the manual that came with Poser 7.  I have Practical Poser 7 by Denise Tyler, although not sure if it is a great way to learn.  Best learning site is Dr Geep and there is also some video tuts at Geek at Play.  Honestly, one of the best ways to learn and grow is to constantly troll all the poser forums and read, read and read.  One book will not be able to contain all the scenarios you could run across or be as up to date.  I've been trying to learn DAZ Studio, Poser 7, Hexagon and C6Pro for about 2 years.  I still don't have enough time in the day to learn all I want! XD

Hope this was a bit helpful :) and Good luck!

Lynda.com offers a video tutorial series for Poser 7.  All their tutorial series are topnotch and very thorough.  I highly recommend it.

the Practical Poser 7 book as mentioned in the previous post does have practical tips, but you should really use it as a continuation ot the Practical Poser 6 version.  Some tips transcend both books.

Hi hborre,

I originally think that "Practical Poser 7" will include contents of "Practical Poser 6" and plus extra.
So should we buy both books (6 and 7)?

imagination304,

I have both versions of Practical Poser and clearly certain chapters were re-written.  The basic tutorials remained the same.  If you have Poser 7, purchase the Practical Poser 7.  It is more dedicated to that version of software.  No need to purchase both.
