Fine Poser People:
Is there anyway to use my old Daz .exe files (Michael 2 in particular...(yes, M2...I kick it old school....plus I have a ton of stuff for him) on my Poser 6 for Mac.
Thanks for any help you can throw my way.
garblesnix......back after a long hiatus.........as if the use of M2 wasn't a dead giveaway

For extracting .EXE files I use this
http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/
But you need an intel MAC running 10.4 or higher

If you had virtual pc, you can just open the EXE in vitual pc.. it will expand and then drag the expanded files back to the mac desktop.
Of course if you have an intel mac, you don't need it. But if you're mac is G5 or something, you can get it.

Thanks for the swift reply.
When I use this program, do I run the .exe install as I would if I were doing it on a PC?
Thanks again.

I Create a Dummy folder on the desktop call it what you like.( "ie suit for Mike2" etc)
and when the Daz installer asks where is poser?/Daz studio
I browse to the dummy folder instead.
you will have to then manually drag the files to thier respective RUNTIME/LIBRARIES ETC. locations in you P6 runtime
but its better not being able to get them at all.

Thanks for the help.
Wolf, you're right.
Having to drag is better than having to re-buy or not use at all.

If you purchased the stuff from DAZ (and didn't get them off some magazine cd or something like that) you should be able to redownload the items from your account at DAZ3D in Mac format.
They have converted some of the old installers so that they will run on OSX.

yes, re: wolf's msg: crossover allows intel mac users to run windows
apps in the absence of any installed version of windows.

wolf359, tebop, MarianneR & Miss Nancy:
Thanks for all your input.
I fiddled with the demo of crossover this morning before work, but time restraints prevented me from actually installing anything. And when the DAZ installer window came up it wouldn't (or didn't seem to) allow me to access the folder I had created on the desktop, per wolf's suggestion.
Can anyone give me a brief walkthrough of how I would install Michael 2 (a .exe file) into a separate folder for later addition to poser 6, or how to directly put it into poser 6?
Thank you all for your help.
