Subject: looking for a piano?

Not a freebie, but an amazingly good piano... DAZ's Music Room features a great grand piano that opens up, and even has a music stand that folds down. I used it in the picture linked below. It's a bit zoomed-in due to how I wanted to have the picture laid out, but you can get a decent idea of it, at least.

There is a really nice piano in the Poser 5 content CD. It's available with Poser 5 and you can download it with Poser 6. Not sure if it's available as a download with Poser 7 though.

if not guess i'll have to go hunt through my boxes of stored cds and find that dang p5 content disk, that i never did load .......lol

It's pricey if all you want is the piano, though. But the whole scene itself looks pretty darn nice, I'd say.

Could you post the exact webpage where P6 users could download it? I think you're meaning to say that it's on SmithMicro's site or Efrontier's site (since it's an official content based on what I could understand from your post) but I don't think I've seen it there.

The P5 Content CD was only available with P5, it is not part of the downloadable legacy content pack thats available at CP for P6 owners.
