yes i was wondering if you could recommend any good palette software color picker programs which i can use with adobe photoshop cs3

I use Color Picker Pro. It has more than 20 color formats and works beautifully with CS3. Check it out here...

I don't  know if you'd be interested in this but I really like colourlovers.com - you can create different palettes...
