Happy New Year!
It's only 9:24 pm here and I'm about to go to bed; I'm exhausted and have to get up at 5 am for work.

two more hours to go here, I'm probably not going to stay up, not in a very merry mood :( My honey went to sleep, since he too has to be up at 5AM. I have to be up at 6:30...
But, Happy New Year to everyone anyways :)

"...The naming refers to [Pope Sylvester I](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Sylvester_I "Pope Sylvester I"), who died on that date in 335."Somehow, as a Jew living in Israel, I can't see much point in celebrating the death of a Catholic Pope who died 1674 years ago. On the other hand Sylvester J. Pussycat, Sr. is definitely worth consideration.

Happy belated New Year's to all from BC Canada. It is almost 3 am our time now.
I threw a little house gathering this year and I was forced to think about how much I've grown. I remember a few years back coming on Renderosity after a night of partying and starting a forum topic... you know... because I was drunk and wanted to talk... or some such thing.
Anyway, I had great responses the next morning from a number of fantastic regulars.
And here I am throwing a little shin-dig and one of my guests has had waaaaay too much to drink... poor guy.
I remember a time when I was the guy puking in someone's bathroom. That was many years ago now... thankfully. Still I kind of feel bad because I had an open bar and I feel I fed the poor fellow too much booze.
I've made up a bed for him and his girlfriend... they are still in the washroom attending to his horribly spinning world.
Anyway...
All the best to everyone in 2009.
I hope this slump that has effected so many of my American friends passes soon (and in Canada we have a saying... if the USA catches a COLD, a few months later we get PNEUMONIA!)
All the best too all!
