I know Renderosity has to make money, and that's why they have the affiliate program for people purchasing things at the marketplace. However, that really won't benefit the members that are already here, since there's no guarantee that anyone will buy anything. Especially if they are in certain 2D mediums and things of the like, or writers for example.
So my idea, is that for every 50 people (or however many) someone gets to join Renderosity, they get a gift certificate or something, regardless of whether or not the people who join make a purchase at the marketplace. Or have a "points" system to where they can earn enough points to get a gift certificate. That would seriously motivate people, if they knew their actions and effort was getting immediate results.
What does everyone else think?
