I have an customized object which I would like to save. But when I export it as obj it looses its material room settings (color, reflection, refraction, etc). How can I save these settings? Can I convert it to a Figure?

How are you exporting it? What are you exporting it from? In Poser if you are exporting your object from Poser, there should be options it is asking you to also save.....What program are you wanting to export it into that does not recognize the objects materials?

Save it as a prop or a figure by using the + button in the prop or figure library.

Duhhh................ Forgot that you add objects as props. Was trying to add them as figures.
Thanks for helping the forgetful.

correct me here if I'm wrong (we are not smart..;) but I think figures are CR2s? That gives you the ability to have bones, etc.
There's probably a way to do this; I read a tutorial by Quinlor, but never actually went through it all the way.

Figures are cr2, props are pp2, figures can also be set-up as props, and turned into smart-props as well, (just a case of adding a line telling Poser the figure is a smart-prop), but even though the extension is renamed pp2, they still remain figures in reality, you can't edit them and resave them as props, they need to be saved as figures again and then turned into props once more, though setting up figures this way as props is a bit easier than making them conforming figures.
Cheers
