Does anyone know where I can find - in obj, lwo, or 3ds formats- a model of the Bridge for the  Star Trek: Next Generation   Enterprise-D?

I have a series of files for such a bridge from 2000!

Keoto and Sixpacwolf made it in TrueSpace and had the model(s) converted to Lightwave and  Object format.

The files are not here at Renderosity.
A GOOGLE search turns up nothing, and asks if I want KYOTO instead of Keoto.

If they're not around anymore, what does that say about the files? Can they be shared? Would you be willing to share?

I found a site attributing similar props to Sixpacwolf, and his email address was listed on the page.  Perhaps you could email him?

A copy of a the Olympus bridge by Sixpacwolf and kEOTO can be found at While it is a TNG era bridge it is not the Enterprise D's bridge

I have the Olympus bridge, but The project calls for the 1701-D's. I'll try the e-mail.

Tried the e-mail. It was returned. Says Mailbox not found.  The Search continues....

At www.scifi-meshes.com there is an Enterprise D bridge in Bryce format and someone is working on a low-poly one in SketghUp

Unfortunately, I don't have Bryce or any program that will convert it's models. I have Poser 7 and VUE 7 Espirit. So the formats have to  be Lwo, 3ds - which I can convert- or obj.

xantor posted Tue, 13 January 2009 at 10:00 PM

I thought that vue could import sketchup models?

mdbruffy posted Wed, 14 January 2009 at 4:09 AM

I just checked my VUE 7 Espirit and no, it does not import sketchup.

xantor posted Wed, 14 January 2009 at 11:39 AM

Sorry, it must have just been in older versions of vue.

According to e-on it SketchUp 6 (Win32 only) is listed as a supported file type for Vue 7 Esprit.

Sorry. I don't have  $129.00 for that seperate import module. I have to stick with the basic VUE 7 Espirit and these are the only formats it imports: .Vue, Poser ,3ds,  Shade format, Raw format, Lightwave,Collada object,Truespace and DXF.

mdbruffy posted Thu, 15 January 2009 at 8:16 PM

I just spent the past hour  wadding through that thread, and while it is intresting, and while Rduda does seem to have built a 1701-D bridge, I couldn't find a download link for it anywhere. If anyone can locate it, would you be kind enough to post it please?
 Thank you.

Hello I would like to get a lot of Star Trek TNG Enterprise D interiors. So is anyone giving or selling them?

I have bridge but I would need conference room, sick bay, ten forward (bar), turbolift, corridors and even personal quarters if possible.

mdbruffy posted Wed, 06 May 2009 at 4:11 AM

I'm still searching for sets myself. Where'd you get your bridge model?

Woody_Allen posted Wed, 06 May 2009 at 1:01 PM

Bridge is available at www.trekmeshes.ch/ you can also find engineering, all for free.

mdbruffy posted Wed, 06 May 2009 at 2:42 PM

That's the Olympus Bridge- Not 1701-D's.

Woody_Allen posted Thu, 07 May 2009 at 2:33 AM

Well yeah but it's TNG era... and it's close.

mdbruffy posted Thu, 07 May 2009 at 3:53 PM

Just did. they have textures for the NX-01, but no Galaxy-class bridge in sight.

Woody_Allen posted Fri, 08 May 2009 at 4:13 AM

Is there any chance of finding conference room for Enterprise D or similar?

If there isn't why can't somebody just make it and sell it here?

xantor posted Fri, 08 May 2009 at 6:05 AM

You can`t sell copyrighted items.

Even making free versions is technically illegal.

I don't get why is it illegal since some pages are selling Star Wars and Star Trek meshes, like on this link
http://www.the3dstudio.com/product_details.aspx?id_product=74805

mdbruffy posted Fri, 08 May 2009 at 3:11 PM

Selling items that are related to a copyrighted creation- like Star Trek and Star Wars-without permission, is illegal because you're cutting into the rights of the creators to make money from their creations.
Luckily in the case of Star Trek, Paramount - and now, hopefully, CBS Studios- have a history of accepting the fact that Fan Fiction like the fan films and my own Nova Trek project- are going to be made. As long as these projects are offered for free and no profit is made from them, the studios more or less look at them in the same vein as free advertising for the "Offical" product and turn a more or less blind eye to them.
But if those artists who are actually selling projects related to copywrited materials are ever reported, They can find themselves in alot of legal trouble.

xantor posted Fri, 08 May 2009 at 3:17 PM

Woody allen, sites that sell these things have just not been caught yet.

mdbruffy posted Wed, 20 May 2009 at 2:13 PM

I'd be intrested if my own project wasn't taking all my time right now. I've got 30 pages done with 31 to go.
 Can anyone else help out?

dasquid posted Thu, 21 May 2009 at 1:27 PM

Actually sketchup can  EXPORT to obj and other formats. I just found that out here recently. so if someone is making one in sketchup just download it (its a free program or has a free version) and get the file and export it in the format you need.

flibbits posted Thu, 21 May 2009 at 3:02 PM

Do what Abrams did, have time travel change the past so you can make the bridge whatever you want.

bluto posted Sat, 13 June 2009 at 9:18 AM

did you ever find the 1701-d bridge . if not i might know where to find one

mdbruffy posted Sat, 13 June 2009 at 10:15 AM

Yes, I'm still looking for one. If you know of one, I'd like to hear.
