As things would be, we have not been back and I would need a new truck. The trip would be possibly too much for this good work horse. Tom

@Tom, I think the truck would do your holiday. They made for work.

I know how 'dwarfed' feels... next week I'm replacing my 15-year old VW Polo. Wheels and tires are nearly dead, as is the motor, the suspension, the gearbox, and the exhaust. Rust and damage on all sides, but the most annoying thing is the fact that the rain somehow comes through the broken 'open air' roof... Everything is moist inside (the words 'splash, splash' are not exaggerated) and all the windows get condense all over... way too dangerous when the sun is low. Makes me so sick and tired that I don't want to waste a picture on it... ;o))
Btw, I'll be getting a Citroen Nemo Combi in a few days, a cute compact van-like car (in family version). I'm gonna be a happy man... ;o))

This is how :)
It's a BMW R1100GS from 1999. I ride it all year long in pretty much any weather.
It's funny how small the bike looks with me on :D

my ford mercury capri rs turbo, 79 from michigan.
i love 'him'! got him on my 18th birthday. this car is very rare here in austria, more rare it is, that a girl is driving it :D
i don't have enough money to make him drive again, so he sleeps for a long time in a garage 'til i'm rich :(
some people say, i should give it away but i'll never let him die. i have so many good and bad memories with this car, it's a part of my heart...
i hope i can get enough money and the right mechanician, because here it's hard to find good ones, which also knows the car. i also have to import original car parts from the usa, which also costs tooo much.
i want to drive him until i'm too old to drive :D
so for the next years, i have to use my feet or the bus, but just wanted to share this pic of a really great oldie (imo). mine :)
wish me luck!
mila

I hope you can get the old car full of memories up and running again....
In the garage where it is parked, is that a cover to a hole in the floor. a pit where a mechanic can work from below? Best wishes. Good photos.

Yes I'm enjoying it Adam, thanks. It's fun to be in a car that is dry on the inside...
