I know typography isnt really something often talked about on this forum, but since most of us are into digital art and/or design i thought i'd share this link.I think this is a very original concept for a typeface design.. I'm kind of jealous i didnt think of this idea myself!

A Tesseract is the 4dimensional cousin of a cube, just the same way as a cube is the 3dimensional cousin of a square.
Now if you would draw 2 squares, offset them a little, and connect every corner of the squares, it looks like the wireframe of a cube.
If you do the same with 2 cubes, offset them a little, and connect the corners, you get a drawing of a tesseract.
The designer of this typeface used the same technique, ofsetting 2 3d shapes of the letters, and connecting them. Then he used the result as a basis for the typefaces.
Personally i like how this created the simple shapes in the 2nd font, theres no shading, yet somehow the shapes have a great sense of depth either way.
And in the 3rd font, i'm not entirely sure how it is constructed, but its supposedly still based on the 4d wireframe of the letters, i like how theres such a nice variety of abstract compositions, with such a strong unified style throughout the font. Also i like the challenge of figuring out how they relate back to the 4d wireframe.

Nice try there. More for looks than anything else. All the good fonts have been taken already.

Yeah, it's like trying to go a classically beautiful Greek or Celtic design...all the good ones really are taken. The best I was able to pull off in 14 years doing Celtic Art on leather was to combine original designs, sourced from books, together and apply my personal style to the rendering to leather.. ...

Yeah, count me in Bobby. I too would like to see some of your leather work. It's something I always thought I would personally like to try. Rayraz, interesting concept but I don't know how anyone could make use of such a font unless they belonged to some secret society.

Well, i think the abstract font would work nicely as a set of brushes maybe...

HEIGHT, DEPTH, WIDTH AND TIME , THE FOUR DIMENSIONS
Rayraz, I don't grasp how this combination of two 3d fonts are suppose to depict their place in time. Way beyond my vision. To me it was an exercise but does not accomplish its goal.
