Greetings all,

My first time here, and I'm hoping that someone can help me with my problem.
I'm trying to recover my old data from backup discs, and finishing some old projects. But I cannot figure out how to 'convert' a prop I created in RHINO to a character.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe this will help. I want to be able to limit the movements of the doors, and the 'expando'. The only way I can figure this is possible is to turn this into a character. Am I wrong? PLease see the attached photos.

You could do it as a prop with parented doors and a morph for the expandable.

Limit the doors?  Simple, just use "Limits."

Remember ... "With Poser, all things are possible, and poseable!"

cheers,

dr geep ... :o]

Hey,   Thanks, but I've tried that. My doors still rotate 360 degrees and my Expando would go to Texas if my dials would go that far. :)

You need to double click on the dial then in the pop up window that appears actually set the required limits.

Thanks for the reply, but I've tried this. My doors still rotate 360. Also, somehow, my closed position changed from 0 to 7. But that's another issue completely I suppose

You need to be sure that "Limits" are ON in the Figure Menu. It defaults to off.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

OMG!
Thanks Trekkie!
I was afraid it would be something extremely simple that I was overlooking, and it was. I don't suppose there's an equally simple way of losing the unwanted parameter dials is there?
Thanks so much!
