I don't know what it is, but I just cant make myself love V4.  Something just doesn't work for me on her.  I've seen lost of modern v3 artwork by the likes of Sturkwurk and many other  talented artists.  I'm seriously considering getting into a time machine and going back to giving V3 some serious use.

My question to the poderdom at large is, is V3 still popular because everyone bought so much for her, or is she just liked a little better than the swanky V4.

I guess the gen4's are fine for still images that can be fixed with a lot of post-work but I do animation. I have all the gen4 figures but I use the gen3 figures exclusively in my animations mainly because I love Mogadeet's face morphs, I have the most clothing and accessories for them and they seem to be easier to manipulate. The gen4's seem to be real resource hogs, V4 is not that attractive IMHO and that shoulder crease thing is really annoying, too.

I use V3 a lot more than V4 for the reason V3 looks
closer to a real woman more than V4. The face on V4
is great with them big eyes,A4 too. The body is something
else. I guess if you want to do anime stuff or a skinny
teen. V4.2 looks a little better. I've bought a lot of stuff
for V4, but I still like V3 better.

I've spent a ton on both. V4 works if you want a really young character. Everything else, V3's my girl!

I got into poser after V4 came out and because I didn't want to bother with two different characters at the time, so I opted for V4.

Huge V4 fan here. Building on V2's tradition, some of V3 proportions look weird to me. While she looks more like SP3, V4 has some interesting features for use outside of Poser that work well for animation.

I started with Poser 4 and V1. When V3 came out i thought it was the greatest thing and used her for a long time. When V4 came out i got her, but didn't like her very, so i went back to V3 and only occasionaly pulled out V4. After some time though i got to know V4 a little better and figuredout how to morph here into something i like. Now for female chars i only use her.

V3 for sure. But to be very honest, I'm moving away from the DAZ M&V figures and I'm more moving towards the toon figures. I do enjoy using Hiro Toon, Aiko Toon, Sadie & Sam and others are so much more then I've ever done using the M&V figures.

I was working on a scene a few days ago (part of a series of scenes) with M3 & V3 in it, and I just couldn't get it as I wanted it. I took them all out replaced them with some toon figures and the scene looked so much greater. Decided to redo all of the scenes with only toon figures. That isn't the first time, it happens more and more lately..... perhaps is just a phace I'm going through.

So for me none of the millenium people, but toon figures all the way!

Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....
